Der Archäologe Alexander Schick hat kürzlich auf den Jahrestag der vor 100 Jahren erfolgten “Befreiung” Jerusalems aus den Händen der Türken durch die Engländer am 11.12.1917 verwiesen.
Über 400 Jahre (1517 bis 1917) hatten die Osmanen über Jerusalem geherrscht. Dann haben die Engländer 31 Jahre über Jerusalem geherrscht, bevor vor knapp 70 Jahren Israel als moderner jüd. Staat ausgerufen wurde und vor 50 Jahren Jerusalem im 6-Tage-Krieg an Juden zurückgegeben wurde.
